The young girl walked down the dirt road, her hair was a dark brown color, her eyes shun a bright blue. She looked of the age of 16 but time wasnt kept that well and people did not care for age. Age was something just the air they breathed, unimportant. She was wearing a brown dress with a touch of green showing in the places where it had to be sewed up.

She then started running to another woman, this was a small girl about the age of 7. She had blonde hair and green eyes. The older girl picked up the younger. Sounds could now be heard, the young girl was laughing and smiling, "Hi sissy!"

The older girl smiled and picked up the younger girl and said, "Hey baby, how have you been?"

The younger smiled even bigger and hugged her sister tightly, "Awesome. I’v been playing with my dolly."

"How is Miss Dolly?" The oldest asked.

"Miss Dolly is perfectly happy Jade!! She says your beautiful," the little girl said while laughing.

The oldest put her down, "Well Ruby, its becoming night and we need to go get in our house. You know what night means."

Ruby shook her head then looked around for Miss Dolly, then she wailed and ran around searching for her, "Miss Dolly isn’t here. I cant leave with out Miss Dolly."

Jade became frantic and picked up Ruby, "Ruby, ill stay out here and search for Miss Dolly, but im taking you home...now!!"

Ruby faught and started to hit her, Jade bit her lower lip and put Ruby on her shoulder then ran to a small wooden house, she peeked inside, looked up at the moon and sighed, "Time of the blood suckers and the wolfmen."

Jade then ran to a cave and saw her parents and a seniors, Jade ran faster to reach them, she then put Ruby into her moms arms, "I have to look for Miss Dolly mom. I promised Ruby."

"Dont do it, look for it tomaro. You know when the sun light is no long able to be seen this door shuts whether or not everyone is there. You know that, you must hurry up, they wont let nobody in. NO ONE is an exception."

Jade nodded, "I know, i gotta go now!" She then ran off to where she first had Ruby. She fell to the ground with her hands stretched out and she searched for Miss Dolly. The darkness was fast approaching and she was using her eye sight the best she could. She started to call out, "Miss Dolly, Miss Dolly where are you!!!!???"

Jade looked up and saw the night approaching closer, the last was seen then it went down. Jade was now searching frantically for Miss Dolly and she could hear the others yelling at her to hurry up. Jade just screamed at them telling them she wouldnt come back till she had Miss Dolly because she promised Ruby.

Jade could hear Ruby crying for Miss Dolly and telling her not to let the blood suckers or the wolfmen to get to Miss Dolly. The only thing Jade could do was call out for Miss Dolly and search for it.

The last light of the land dissapeared and the darkness was there, all there. Jade looked up and could here the boulder door closing. Jade bit her lower lip, but did not stop searching for Miss Dolly, "I will find Miss Dolly for my sister, no matter what! The blood suckers or the wolfmen can come and eat me, tear me apart, i dont care."

After a while Jade heard something and looked up and she saw it, the blood sucker. Jade scrambled back trying to find something, anything to use for a weapon. Her fingers wrapped around a stick. The blood sucker crouched down and took in her scent then said, "Whats a lovely girl like you doing out in the darkness alone?"

Jade was baffled, she didnt know that the blood suckers could talk but she figured talking was her only way out so she said, "I’m looking for Miss Dolly, have you seen her?"

"Miss Dolly you say? No i have not seen her but....mmmmmm, i would love a taste of you. Your scent is tantalizing," the blood sucker said.

Jade bit her lower lip, "Ummmm thank you....I think."

"Your welcome, you seem nervous. Hmmmm a chase, ooooo a hunt, easy meals are okay but i like it better with a hunt. Why dont you run?" the blood sucker suggested.

Jade looked the blood sucker in the eye and said, "I’m not your next meal and i refuse to run so more of your kind can try to go after me."

The blood sucker laughed, "Oh come on, please. It’ll be fun, ill make sure the wolfmen dont attack you. Your my meal, iv already claimed you."

Jade spit in his face then brought the stick down upon his head. The blood sucker looked at her, laughed then fell over. Jade stood up, dusted herself, kicked the blood sucker then ran off.

Jade new nowhere was safe, but there was one place that she was comfortable at, it was where she took Ruby, when she was a baby and gave her baths, plus the place was just very serene and just calming. Jade ran and ran till she reached the place.

The place had a clear blue stream going through it and moss on both sides. There was a big boulder and Jade ran on it and then just sat there remembering Ruby. When a man approached her.

Jade looked up and could not tell if he was a blood sucker or a wolfman, he simply asked this, "What is a human doing out here during this night?"

Jade sighed, "I was looking for Miss Dolly, my baby sisters doll. Her imagination isnt that good."

"Your probably wondering which i am," he said.

Jade looked up, "That would be a good thing to know."

"Im both, im a hybrid, but also a loner. You better get away from here, here come with me," he then stuck his hand out.

Jade looked him over, he was tall and had broad shoulders. His hair was a shaggy brown and his blue eyes were a pale blue, he was gorgeous. Jade nodded and took his hand and got up, "But why are you going to help me?"

"Because your not running from me and i know theres more to you then what there appears," he said.

Jade smiled, "I like you already sir...my name is Jade."

"Jade, beautiful, its also a diamond," he then grabbed her and threw her over his shoulders and he ran.

Jade gasped and said, "Ummm thank you, sir."

"My name is Alex now shush, they have excellent hearing as do I and the one you hit is on my trail," he said. Jade nodded and shushed.

They ran and ran and ran then after a while Alex said, "He isnt gonna give up, he wants you. He’s waiting for me either set you down and eat you or leave you alone. But I’m not going to do that, he thinks he has claimed you but not untill a bite or a scratch with the ones scent who has marked you, does it then prove that you are theres. He was about to mark you when you hit him."

All Jade could say was, "Oh...So well....what does that mean?"

Alex sighed and put her down, "A fight and here he comes," just as he said that, the one blood sucker who had "claimed" her came into view.

"Smart choice, Alex. Hmmmm one of the few hybrids left alive. I’m surprised your still alive and that none of my kind or the wolfmen aren’t coming here...yet," he said.

"You know just as well as I do why we are killed, brother," Alex said.

"I’m not your brother, I was but a hybrid is no more a brother of mine. When we were humans we were brothers but then you just had to be scratched barely deep enough by the wolfmen......just to put it simply, your not my brother at all. You not my kind, we dont share the same blood anymore or anything at all," he said.

Alex shook his head and crouched in front of Jade, snarling, "Mike, you can call it whatever you want. You’re my brother whether is was when we were humans or not."

The other one, Mike, crouched down and said, "I want her back! And Now!!!"

"Come and get her, Mikey," Alex said, snarls ripping from his chest.

"Don’t call me Mikey," he said jumping at Alex. Alex pushed Jade aside, her knee hitting a rock and splitting it open a tad bit.

Miky looked her, his teeth gleaming in the moonlight, he face was all distraught. "Damn it Jade!!!" Alex screamed and tackled Mike.

Jade tore a peace of her dress and pressed it against her knee and said softly, "I’m sorry."

Mike threw Alex off of him and looked at Jade. Alex hit a tree and went through it and then threw a couple more but at his 5 one he hit and fell to the ground. Mike ran at Jade, but Alex was faster than him and ran infront of him. Mike hit Alex head on. Alex didnt move but Mike flew backwards.

Jade was now the center of Alex’s attention. There was more wolfmen, some in wolf form some not forming. And more blood suckers. They were all waiting for a chance to jump at Jade and mark her then leave. No of them wanted to be in the middle of a fight. It was terrible thing to do.

Mike ran back at Alex with his fangs bared. Alex grabbed his head and twisted it. Mike punched him in the stomach, Alex immediatly let go of Mike’s head. Mike scratched Alex’s leg but Alex bared his teeth and bit into Mike’s neck.

Mike pulled back, holding his arm to his neck wound. Alex faced Jade straining to keep controll but he didnt turn his head in time, Mike was back on him and bit his arm, Alex let out a howl and transformed. His new look was in wolfman form, standing up on its hind legs, but he his blood sucker teeth hung down the side of this mouth. He didnt have much fur at all tho, he skin turned a pitch black and his eyes were red, blood red. He had this grin on his face that stretched from ear to ear. It showed all of this teeth, sharp and gleaming in the moonlight.

Mike looked around at the blood suckers, pleading them to help him with his eyes. None of them moved and Mike new it was over for him. Alex tackled him and started to tear him to shreds while watching over Jade carefully and staring at all of the other wolfmen and bloodsuckers.

One by one by one they left and Alex finished Mike off then just sat there staring at Jade with blood dripping down his chin. Jade just looked away unable to believe what had just happened, the shame had over whelmed her, shame of what she had caused.

After a long time Alex calmed down and turned back to normal, once this was done he slowly crawled back to her, suddenly realizing that she was asleep. He wrapped his arms around her and whispered in her ear, "I’m sorry, so very sorry. I’ll never allow that to happen again. I’ll leave you and never return, I’ll...I’ll...."

This is when he heard her saying in her sleep, "Alex, Alex, Alex don’t leave me...I love you, don’t...don’t...."

At this point Alex started to cry softly in her shoulder, Jade woke up to this. When realized she was a wake her turned her around and made her face him in the eyes, "Do you really love me? And would you.....would you.....would like to become what i am, this way we could live together, forever."

Jade looked at him then nodded and said, "Yes, I think i do love you," she then hugged him tightly, "I’m too much of a weakness for you," she said as she turned her head to the side allowing him full access to her neck, "Change me now."

Alex stared at her neck, hearing blood flow, her heart beat, he bent down to her neck and inhaled deeply, "You smell unbelievingly good. Are you sure that you want me to change you?" His fangs started to grow out so he pulled back, he made her look him in the eye, "If I bite you, I might not be able to stop feeding on you. I could kill you."

Jade looked him in the eye, trying to sound brave and unafraid yet sure of herself she said, "I’m positive, do it now."

"Do you realize that you will never be able to see your family again?"

Jade thought for a moment, then smiled, "I couldn’t be more sure, now do it before I go find another hybrid to do it for me."

Alex nodded then bent down to her neck and bit her slowly. Jade whimpered underneath the pain. Alex almost drank her blood dry then he brought her mouth to his neck, cut a small sliver in his skin, put her mouth to it, reluctantly she drank his blood but only for a few seconds.
